A photographic project about night, the city, and cultural memory.

Drawing on moonlit imagery from classical poetry associated with Yangzhou, the work places historical ways of experiencing the night alongside the contemporary urban landscape. As artificial light increasingly replaces moonlight, the ways we see and perceive the night have also changed. The project explores how the modern urban environment reshapes our relationship with night, local memory, and traditional aesthetics, while asking whether we can still reconnect with older forms of cultural experience in the city today.
